Blue H, incorporated in the U.K. in 2004, is headquartered in the Netherlands and operates under the name Blue H Technologies BV.
The Company brings together expertise in wind energy, in marine construction generally and tension legged platforms in particular, to develop offshore wind farms with large turbines (5 MW or more) which are difficult to site on shore. Blue H exclusively focuses on developing economic wind energy sites far offshore.
The activities of Blue H are divided between: a subsidiary responsible for its intellectual property and know-how; an engineering division responsible for R&D, logistics and outsourcing of the manufacturing of the hardware; and various project operating companies responsible for the development of offshore wind farms, for commissioning local environmental impact and geological studies and for applying for all the necessary approvals and authorizations.
The executive management of Blue H is in the hands of Neal Bastick, Chief Executive Officer; Martin Jakubowski, Technology Architect; and Giovanni Franzi, Chairman of the Supervisory Board.
